Schyren Lauf 2026

The Schyren Lauf begins and ends at the Prielhof, located at Scheyern Abbey in Bavaria. The event utilizes the historic monastery grounds as the hub for a run through the Hallertau region's natural landscape. Taking place in October, it features a 10 km main race, a 5 km fitness run, a 5 km Nordic walking event, races for youth, and a short 300 m children’s race. ST Scheyern e.V. Laufbewerbe organizes the competition, which typically attracts around 900 participants across its various events. The 10 km and 5 km courses traverse the rolling hills of the hop-growing region, passing through Scheyrer Forst and alongside several monastery ponds. The children’s and youth races are held on flatter terrain around the Prielhof, accommodating both families and adult runners. Participants range from the youngest Bambini runners to those competing in the 10 km race. Awards include age-group trophies, finisher medals for all ages, personalized bibs, timing services provided by Zeitgemaess GmbH, and refreshments at the finish line. A recent edition introduced district championship titles, adding a competitive element for younger participants while maintaining the local club atmosphere.
