Sparkasse Gießen Silvesterlauf 2026 Rund um den Schiffenberg

The Sparkasse Gießen Silvesterlauf Rund um den Schiffenberg is a year-end running event in Gießen, organized by LAZ Giessen Stadt und Land e.V. The race starts and finishes on Karl-Reuter-Weg, with the event hub located around Sporthalle Ost. Participants can select from a Schülerlauf, 5 km, 10 km, or half marathon. Walkers and Nordic walkers are also welcome in the 5 km and 10 km events, with their own distinct rankings. This event is a long-standing local tradition, having completed over fifty editions. Many runners and clubs consider it their final race of the year.
