About this race
The Urban Trail Düsseldorf is a relaxed 8 to 10 km urban trail run in Düsseldorf, Germany. It begins in the morning at the Jugendherberge Düsseldorf on Düsseldorferstrasse 1. This event is part of the Urban Trail Serie and is organized by D Running, which has new management since 2025. This is not a competition for the fastest time; there is no timing, start waves ensure a calm opening, and participants can jog, walk, or run at their own pace.
From the youth hostel, the route crosses the Rhine and connects various city locations instead of following typical running paths. The measured distance is from one stop to the next, with additional steps within venues included. Runners might see modern architecture, historic sites, less-known areas, halls, museums, and other venues usually off-limits. Each location may offer its own small highlight for participants. Traffic lights must still be obeyed, and food is available on site after or during the run.
