About this race
The Wuggi-Triathlon is a small cross-triathlon held at Höllensteinsee in Prackenbach, Bavaria, organized by Bayronman. It provides two individual race options: a Sprint-style distance for athletes aged 16 and older, and the Wuggi Distance for athletes aged 18 and older. The total participant limit is 50, giving it the atmosphere of a club race with a family feel rather than a large, crowded event.
Both events begin with a swim in Höllensteinsee, followed by mountain-biking and off-road running. The Sprint distance includes a 300 m swim, a 12 km bike course on quiet roads and trails, and a 5.4 km run. The Wuggi Distance increases these to a 1,000 m swim, two 12 km bike laps, and a 10 km run. A relay option for teams aged 18 and up is also available over the shorter course. The event is named after Wolfgang “Wuggi” Zeitlhöfler, who passed away at 34 and was a co-founder and the first chairman of the Bayronman triathlon club.
