About this race
The Zwickau Triathlon, held in September in Zwickau, Germany, concludes the season. Athletes from across the country gather in the city on the Mulde. Since the early 2010s, it has brought together hundreds of racers and spectators, with participants ranging from ambitious first-timers to experienced triathletes.
The event is particularly welcoming to beginners, recognized by HDsports.de voters as one of the best beginner triathlon events, even when compared to larger city races. Organizers also focus on children, youth sport, grassroots racing, and relay teamwork. Recent editions introduced a middle-distance race, and Zwickau hosts the DTU Para Cup finals, attracting para-triathletes and notable figures like Paralympic silver medalist Max Gelhaar.
