Carrera Empresas

The Carrera Empresas is a company-team running event in Bilbao, held in June. It is structured around workmates racing together, differing from the standard solo runner road-race format. The event begins at 11:00 from San Mamés on Calle Sabino Arana. This is the eighth edition, with companies like ABANDOIBARRA XXI SL, ABB, and Accenture registering teams. The 6.5 km route follows landmarks along the Nervión river from San Mamés toward the ItsasMuseum. Runners will go past the Sagrado Corazón roundabout by Euskalduna Bridge, Botika Vieja Park, La Salve Bridge, the City Hall bridge on Paseo Uribitarte, and the Guggenheim area before finishing at the maritime museum. A refreshment station is located around the 4.3 km mark at Parking Pio Baroja. Organizers have implemented a new route to accommodate more participants, and Wikiloc provides the course information.
