Cross Subida a la Fuente del Sapo 2026

Cross Subida a la Fuente del Sapo is a local running event held in El Algar, within the municipality of Cartagena, Spain. The event features three races categorized by age: a 400-meter run for the Pre-Benjamin and Benjamin age groups, a 1,400-meter run for the Alevin, Infantil, and Cadete categories, and a 9.960-kilometer race for older participants. The two children's races are conducted entirely on asphalt. In contrast, the main race follows a mixed course, predominantly on dirt tracks. This primary race begins on Avenida Filipinas and concludes in Plaza D. Jose Maria Serrano. The event is organized by Asociacion Amigos Fuente del Sapo in conjunction with Cartagena's Sports Department. The absolute race has a limit of 600 runners, with an additional 200 spots available for the children's races. Now in its thirtieth edition, this race is a well-established fixture in El Algar.
