About this race
The Cursa de Cap de Any Sabadell is a New Year's Eve road race in Sabadell, starting at 5 PM on Eix Macià. Participants can select between 5k and 10k distances, with additional children's races organized by age group. The event attracts over 4,200 registered runners, including more than 2,500 in the 5k, nearly 1,200 in the 10k, and over 300 children in the Cap d'Any Kids races.
The race is designed for Sabadell to bid farewell to the year through athletics. It features nine entertainment points along the course, and the post-race activities can extend into New Year's Eve festivities. These include rooftop bell-ringing at Hotel Verdi and a party at Malöa. The 5k race can be highly competitive; one men's race was won by a single second, with Rayan Zaaf finishing in 14:41, just ahead of Jan Isla at 14:42. Berta Galán won the women's 5k in 17:02 for Joventut Atlètica de Sabadell.
