Pedals de la Marató 2026

Pedals de la Marató is a charity mountain-bike and walking event held in Sant Quirze Safaja, Barcelona province, supporting La Marató de TV3. Taking place each December, it begins at Parc de l'Aigua. Participants can choose non-competitive walking routes of 11 km and 17 km, or BTT mountain-bike routes of 23 km and 40 km. The routes traverse the municipality's natural landscapes. Previous bike editions covered around 37-40 km with approximately 766 to 1,000 meters of elevation gain, indicating the longer route is a substantial ride. The event originated from the local Pedalada popular de Sant Quirze Safaja and became associated with La Marató de TV3 in 2011, with all proceeds directed to the TV3 fundraising campaign. Local residents manage the organization, supported by volunteers, landowners, businesses, restaurants, and shops, fostering a community-driven atmosphere.
