About this race
The Cursa Vistabella is a mountain race held in Vistabella del Maestrat, within Spain’s Castellón province. It takes place in summer, crossing the Penyagolosa Natural Park. The primary race covers 28 kilometers with 1,500 meters of elevation gain, positioning it as a demanding mountain run rather than a relaxed trail excursion.
The course combines sections of runnable terrain with challenging climbs reserved for the latter part of the race, emphasizing the importance of pacing despite the seemingly moderate distance. This event is included in the Castelló Nord Mountain Running League, marks its seventeenth edition, and is affiliated with the World Mountain Running Association. With an entry limit of 500 participants, the race offers an exclusive atmosphere within the rugged park surrounding Penyagolosa, a prominent mountain in the region.
