About this race
The Falling Leaves Lahti's Nordic Gravel Series on Sunday is the second race day of a gravel weekend in Lahti, Finland, set in the Salpausselkä UNESCO Global Geopark region during autumn foliage. Participants can select 50, 80, or 145 km routes, with the Sunday event contributing to the Nordic Gravel Series season standings. It follows a Saturday UCI gravel qualifier, making the weekend suitable for those aiming for championship qualification and for participants seeking a shorter or more adaptable Nordic Gravel Series day.
The routes traverse hardpack gravel roads in Lakeland Finland, with the scenery of fields, lakes, and forests around Lahti and Salpausselkä defining much of the course. This event also marks the customary conclusion of the Finnish gravel season. Participants can extend their stay with warm-up coffee rides, a supported Gravelking Falling Leaves Gravel Camp, a post-ride buffet, lake sauna and swim, and the NGS season closing party. Lodging is offered at Pajulahti sports center, and cyclists without a bicycle can rent BMC gravel bikes equipped with electronic SRAM drivetrains and 40 mm Panaracer Gravelking tubeless tires.
