Metsä Group Seurakisat 2026

Metsä Group Seurakisat is a nationwide series of local athletics events for children and young people in Finland. The meets are for ages 5 to 15 and are held annually in over 500 locations nationwide, with more than 25,000 participants. Metsä Group is the title partner, and the series is part of its cooperation with the Finnish Athletics Federation. These are low-threshold club-level competitions, designed to let children try athletics in a safe, cheerful setting near their homes. The event days are family-oriented: parents can assist as officials, while children get an accessible introduction to sport, movement, and diverse activities. The stated aim is also practical: to support everyday well-being and make starting an active lifestyle easier at an early age.
