Metsä Group Seurakisat 2026

Metsä Group Seurakisat is a nationwide children’s athletics series held annually in over 500 locations across Finland. It focuses on local-level competition for 5- to 15-year-olds, attracting more than 25,000 participants. Metsä Group is the title partner, and the series is part of its cooperation with the Finnish Athletics Federation on children’s and youth athletics. These are not elite race days with a single fixed course; they are local athletics events designed to make competition accessible for children to try near their homes. The format encourages kids and young people to participate in different sports in a safe, encouraging setting. Families are involved too, and parents can assist as officials rather than just watching.
