Metsä Group Seurakisat 2026

Metsä Group Seurakisat is a nationwide series of local children's athletics competitions in Finland, for ages 5 to 15. Over 500 events take place across the country annually, with more than 25,000 young participants. It serves as an accessible introduction to track and field, focusing on familiarizing children with sport in a safe, positive environment rather than solely on times or medals. The competitions are organized as local club-style days, not as a single championship route. Families are involved, with parents often assisting as officials, and the events function as family days at the athletics venue. Metsä Group has been the title partner since 2022, collaborating with the Finnish Athletics Federation to support youth athletics and promote active daily routines through accessible competition.
