Metsä Group Seurakisat 2026

Metsä Group Seurakisat is a nationwide series of local athletics competitions for children and young teenagers in Finland. Over 500 events take place across the country annually, drawing more than 25,000 participants. The format is designed for ages 5 to 15, maintaining a low barrier to entry, so the day feels like an initial step into sport rather than a formal championship. The competitions are organized around local clubs and feature straightforward, diverse athletics activities. Children are encouraged to try sports in a secure and positive environment. Families are integrated into the structure, with parents able to assist with official tasks on the competition day. Metsä Group serves as the title partner, and the Finnish Athletics Federation participates through a national collaboration centered on children’s and youth athletics.
