About this race
SaaristoTrail is a trail running event in Pargas, Finland, directing runners into varied archipelago terrain rather than roads. It typically takes place on a Saturday, starting at 10 AM, with distances ranging from short, beginner-friendly options to longer routes approaching a half marathon.
The course combines narrow trails, swift ski-track sections, and uneven ground, making it accessible yet challenging. The longer routes traverse the Svinö cliffs, presenting more demanding running. Past editions have noted climbs of approximately 300 metres on the 11 km route and about 620 metres on the 18 km route. The event has attracted over 200 participants and has been held at least seven times, offering prizes and recording split times at checkpoints for longer races.
