Trails of Espoo 2026

Trails of Espoo is a trail running race held in Espoo Central Park. Participants can select either a 15-kilometer or a 31-kilometer distance, making the event suitable for novice trail runners, regular fitness enthusiasts, and individuals accustomed to extended efforts on challenging terrain. The longer race commences late morning, with the shorter race starting around midday. The race center opens earlier for bib collection. Facilities are functional: changing rooms, showers, and bag storage are provided at Olarin koulu. Public transport is recommended due to limited parking. The course features a variety of surfaces characteristic of Finnish trail running: soft pine-needle paths, wooded sections, smooth rock, technical root systems, and inclines. Runners navigate the course with route markings and signposts. As the race is partly self-supported, participants must carry their own hydration. The event adheres to Trail Runner's Etiquette: stay on the marked path, avoid cultivated areas, and do not discard litter. Awards are presented for all categories post-race, and younger participants receive an automatic discount.
