Belle-Ile en Trail - 45 km 2026

Le Trail du Ponant is the 45 km race within the Belle-Ile en Trail series, held in Le Palais on Belle-Ile-en-Mer, southern Morbihan. The race is set for September, beginning at 09:00, featuring 1000 m of elevation gain and an 8-hour time limit. It is part of a five-race trail running program, which includes 11 km, 19 km, 32 km, and 81 km options. The routes follow coastal paths on Belle-Ile-en-Mer, the second-largest island on France’s Atlantic coast, located approximately 15 km from Quiberon. The longest race in the series is the 81 km Ultra des vague. The 45 km offers a challenging middle-distance island trail, distinct from ultra distances. Belle-Ile en Trail is affiliated with the “Belle-Île – Committed by nature” network, whose participants adhere to a good-practices charter established with local authorities and conservation partners for the island’s natural environments.
