Casinca Trail begins in the classified village of Penta-di-Casinca on Corsica, with the race scheduled for late August. This mountain trail event, now in its eighth edition, features two loops: the Grande boucle, a 20 km route covering 1,100 m of elevation gain, and the Petite boucle, a 10 km route with 500 m of elevation gain. A 7 km solidarity walk benefits l'Ortu Pedagogicu.
The courses traverse the Casinca region between the Golu and Fium'Altu rivers, with Mount Sant'Anghjuli to the west. Participants depart the village, pass beneath chestnut trees, and follow old paths bordered by stone walls, encountering local heritage sites such as the Romanesque chapels of San-Cosimu/San Damianu and San Michele. The 10 km loop commences with a rapid descent to the Fium'Altu, followed by an ascent back toward Penta via a winding path featuring gradients over 12%, a section near Castellu, and a scenic overlook of the Fium'Altu valley. Post-San Michele, runners encounter the E Rutelle climb at 15% before concluding on the village's main street.
