The Flandres Charentaises Classic Cyclo in Saint-Gourson, a small village in Charente within the Poitou-Charentes countryside, does not use a clock for its participants. This untimed cycling challenge takes place on a September weekend, offering road rides of 127 km and 91 km, a 55 km Belle Charente ride, and gravel options of 100 km or 65 km.
The road routes incorporate small lanes, wooded paths, elevation changes, and up to 21 local gripets, which are short climbs contributing to the event's Belgian character. The gravel rides feature white roads and forest tracks, while the Belle Charente route bypasses steep gradients. Johan Museeuw and Nico Mattan are participating in the weekend's activities, including a social ride with Museeuw and a conference with the Belgian champions. Meals can be reserved for a limited number of attendees, and on-site registration is also possible.
