Foulées nature de Matha is a trail-running and walking series in Matha, Charente-Maritime, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, held in early October. It offers runners 5 km, 10 km, and 21 km races, with parallel 10 km and 21 km walking routes. The event includes free children’s races, catering to families, trail runners, and walkers.
The longest race, La Math’trailienne, covers nature paths around Matha, Thors, Prignac, and Courcerac, passing Courcerac pond, the Antenne river, and the trails of the Bois de la Barde. The 10 km Boucle de la Barde is primarily within the Bois de la Barde, following the Antenne river in its latter half. The 5 km Fil de l’Antenne uses a section of the same woodland before returning along the river. Children compete over 700 m or 1.9 km within the park of the Château de Matha. The event utilizes CHRONO-START timing, with options for GPS tracking, real-time following, and emailed results.
