About this race
La Course des Remparts de Cremieu begins at the Halles de Cremieu, leading runners onto the paved streets of a medieval town in Isere. This October race offers a semi-urban character, blending town running with a heritage route. The timed adult race commences in the morning. For children, families, and casual participants, there are short 700 m and 2 km races. More challenging options include 6 km, 12 km, and 15 km races. The 12 km distance is also available as a relay, enhancing group accessibility.
The course's notable element is the opportunity to run along the ramparts of Cremieu, a protected historic monument offering views of the old town and its surroundings. Courir a Villemoirieu is the organizing body. The race was revived after a hiatus of over ten years and is currently establishing its new series of editions. Upon completion, runners find themselves near the Halles, with shops and restaurants in the vicinity of the square. Consequently, the event integrates into the town center rather than concluding in a distinct race village.
