The Détox du Causse is a post-holiday trail-running, walking, and Nordic walking morning in Sébazac-Concourès, starting and finishing at Christian Dumas stadium. It offers short, accessible formats rather than mountain-distance racing: an 18 km trail with 150 m of climbing, an 11 to 12 km option with about 60 to 70 m of climbing, and a 5 km course called La Cardabelle with 25 m of climbing. The main races use paths and single tracks, and the 5 km is open to younger runners from age 14. The event is built around the idea of moving again after the holidays, with starts spread through the morning and formats that suit runners, walkers, Nordic walkers, and people trying trail running for the first time.
The 18 km course, La Détox du Causse, has a halfway refreshment stop, while the shorter trail and orientation formats have refreshments at the finish. The Trail-Orientation side adds a different challenge: participants choose their own way between required checkpoints marked on a map, with timing boxes at the controls and no course markings in the forest apart from the checkpoints. Its formats run from about 3 km to 10 km, with the short version open from age 12 and the long one from age 16 with parental permission. Around half a thousand trail runners have signed up, and the 12 km race also counts as an opening round of the departmental off-stadium running challenge.
