La Fééria Barisienne 2026

La Fééria Barisienne is a night running event held in late November in Bar-le-Duc, located in the Meuse department of France’s Grand Est region. Participants can choose between a 5 km road race and a 10 km road race. Shorter 1.5 km and 3 km races are available for younger runners. The 10 km race, known as La Barisienne, attracts the largest number of participants; recent events have seen over 700 runners compete in this distance, with one edition having nearly 950 starters. The 5 km race, La Populaire, draws a smaller but substantial field, exceeding 200 finishers in a recent year. The races take place after dark in the city center, illuminated by Christmas lights, with spectators lining Boulevard de La Rochelle. The event caters to various runner levels: children and juniors have dedicated distances, beginners can opt for the 5 km, and more experienced runners typically select the 10 km. The event emphasizes a local and festive atmosphere over elite competition, with residents of Bar-le-Duc cheering along the course, transforming the center of Bar-le-Duc into a lively winter race night.
