La Ronde de Chassignolles is a forest running event held in Haute-Loire, within the mountains of the south Livradois region. It takes place in August and features three course options: a 16 km trail race with 575 m of elevation gain, an 8 km nature run with 300 m of elevation gain, and a free 2.7 km youth race with 70 m of elevation gain for participants aged 12 to 15.
The 16 km race is intended for runners accustomed to trail running and significant elevation. The 8 km option provides a shorter route for beginners and families on the wooded paths. Over 200 runners participate in the event, organized by C.C.L.P., a local association that contributes to village vitality. Registration covers a bib, course marking, and an aid station; participation is capped.
