Le Trail des 3 Pucelles is a trail race held in late April, based in Seyssins, Isère, near the Vercors Regional Natural Park. Participants can select a 12 km uphill race to Saint-Nizier-du-Moucherotte, a 15 km loop around the Tour sans Venin, or a 23 km loop that reaches the Olympic ski jumping venue at Saint-Nizier. The event also offers children’s and junior courses, with some races available for duos.
The routes incorporate local trails and landmarks, including the old tramway route, the GR9, the Vouillants woods, and the ski jumping site. On clear days, runners can see the Grenoble massifs and Mont Blanc. The race has origins in an older Grenoble-to-Saint-Nizier mountain race. Its eco-responsible guidelines are straightforward: remain on marked paths, do not disturb plants or animals, and help keep the Vercors edge clean.
