The Trail de la Crête is a 29 km trail race in Saint-Joseph, on the south side of Réunion. It is a steep solo mountain run, with about 2,000 metres of climbing and the same amount of descent packed into a short-distance format.
The course is built for runners comfortable with hard elevation rather than flat speed. A typical edition draws around 1,200 participants, uses three aid stations, and gives runners a 10-hour limit. The Saint Jo Trail Team organizes the race, which is part of the National League with ITRA mountain and finisher points; one edition was selected as Réunion’s Short Trail Championship.
