Trail des Frontignes is a trail race held in Saint-Pé-d'Ardet, Haute-Garonne, Occitanie, near the Haut-Garonne Pyrenees. Runners will navigate forest paths, ridge trails, winding tracks, and shaded undergrowth. Three distances are offered: an 8 km trail or walk with 400 meters of elevation gain, an 18 km trail with 900 meters, and a 30 km trail with 1,650 meters. The short route presents a challenge with a steep ascent near the chapel of Genos before passing Genos and Tarride.
The longer races emphasize consistent climbing and descending over flat terrain. The 18 km route passes through local villages and utilizes private paths accessible only on race day. The 30 km route covers all the Frontignes villages, with organizers likening its frequent ascents and descents to the Ardennes and the Semois valley. Post-race, the region offers relaxed options for recovery: Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges with its cathedral and historic streets, Gourdan-Polignan for a peaceful break, or Montréjeau and its lake for a walk.
