Trail des Sorcières 2026

Trail des Sorcières begins in Mâlain, a village in Côte-d'Or, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, sending runners into the woods near Halloween in late October. This trail race offers two routes: La Harpie, 12 km, and La Nécromancienne, 26 km. The event embraces its witch theme, encouraging participants to wear costumes, ideally as witches. The 12 km course circles Mont Chauvin, including 450 meters of elevation gain, making it more than a simple forest run. The 26 km route goes from Mâlain towards the forest of Roche Aigüe, following trails and paths that can become muddy after rain. Cold weather is expected, so warm clothing is advised before and after the race. The slogan, "Grab your broom and come fly!", captures the spirit: local woodland trail running with Halloween humor.
