The Trail du Camp de Cé is a new trail-running event held in Le Folgoët, Brittany. All starts, bib pickup, and registrations take place at the Halle des Loisirs within the town’s sports complex. La Foulée Folgoatienne organizes the event, offering two timed trail races with electronic chips: one at 10.5 km and another at 18 km. Additionally, there are non-timed walks of 8, 11, and 15.5 km. The timed races begin in the morning, allowing runners and walkers to participate in the same local event, though they run different distances and pursue different goals.
The routes traverse paths around Le Folgoët and nearby communes, such as Ploudaniel, Le Drennec, and Lanarvily, near the Aber-Wrac’h area. Participants will pass through the Creyer valley, the Camp de Cé (also known as Camp de César), the mills of Kerouant and Landivern, the Voie Verte, Ménec pond, a bread oven, and the Mingant valley. The Camp de César site features archaeological remains from prehistoric, Iron Age, and medieval periods. At the finish, participants receive course refreshments, followed by a cold beer and a hot crêpe. Prizes are awarded to the top three men and women in each timed race, and the event annually supports two local associations.
