Triathlon de Toulouse takes place at the Ramée nautical base in Tournefeuille, near Toulouse, in September as summer concludes. It is a weekend offering triathlon, SwimRun, aquathlon, and children’s animathlon events. Adults can select XS, S, or M triathlons, with relay options. The SwimRun S combines 2.3 km of swimming with 7.2 km of running. The M triathlon follows the standard short-course format: a 1.5 km swim, 40 km bike, and 10 km run; the S and XS formats offer shorter distances.
The swim takes place in the lake at La Ramée, which is usually closed to swimming, providing participants with unique access. The bike and run legs are loop courses without significant elevation, suitable for beginners and those resuming training post-summer. Children’s events are designed without timing or rankings, and parents may join younger participants; the shortest animathlon courses are brief bike-and-run segments based on age. Post-race activities include barbecues, use of sports fields, ping-pong, rollerblading, tennis, sailing, and kayaking at the base, contributing to a community sports gathering atmosphere.
