UBF Escape Cévennes - Cornillon is a self-supported bike adventure in the Cévennes, starting from the Cèze river and heading toward Mont Aigoual. Participants can select from 200 km with 3,200 m of elevation gain, 300 km with 5,000 m, or 500 km with 7,800 m. Even the shortest distance presents a significant challenge. The event is scheduled for early spring, with the start and parking located at Camping Paradis Les Amarines near Cornillon.
The route crosses small, unpaved roads through the Cévennes National Park, the Gorges du Tarn, Cévennes valleys, and villages recognized as among France's most beautiful. Riders can compete individually or in teams of two, but they must ride independently and pace themselves wisely. The course features continuous climbs and changes in pace from the outset. The col de Tribes and Finiels mark the initial challenges, followed by passages through Le Rozier, Florac, Mont Aigoual, l'Espérou, col du Pas, Uglas, and Portes, with Mont Bouquet serving as the concluding ascent.
