Recurring 10K races near Lorient

Races that repeat — weekly, monthly or yearly

Trail De La Rivière D'etel - Nostang
SAT OCT 10
The Trail De La Rivière D'etel - Nostang is a trail running event held in Nostang, Brittany, connected to the ria d’Etel trail series. Over 1,200 participants compete on four courses, including a 6 km option and a 25 km route that passes through the village of Saint-Symphorien, where a refreshment stop is located. Bibs are known to sell out before race day. The local organizer, Chemins d’antan, utilizes approximately 150 volunteers for managing parking, bib collection, cloakrooms, aid stations, and the finish area. The event maintains a strong local character. The mayor traditionally starts the races using a bell. Regional race photographer Philippe Josse captures numerous images, and some participants are familiar with sections of the course from hiking events. At the finish line, volunteers Odile and Guy offer 160 liters of pumpkin and ginger soup, prepared since early morning. The participants include competitive runners, young athletes, hikers, club members, and regular participants in nature sports, with spectators lining the course to offer encouragement.
Foulées réguinoises - Réguiny
SAT OCT 10
Foulées réguinoises is a local race day in Réguiny, starting in the afternoon with a family atmosphere. Now in its 35th edition, the event features children’s races in the early afternoon before the main runs commence. The main change this year is the introduction of two nature circuits: a 7 km route and a 14 km route. Runners can choose between a short trail-style outing or a longer one. Each entry includes a charitable contribution, with 1 euro from each registration donated to Des Papillons Pour Louna, an organization supporting a young girl with a rare disease.
Trail de Plomelin
SAT OCT 17
Corrida de l'espoir - Loudéac
SAT NOV 14
The Corrida de l'espoir takes place in Loudéac in November, featuring short road races that support cancer fundraising. The event includes a 5 km race divided into Corri'Men for men and Corri'Dames for women, an open mixed 10 km run under the Corrida de l'espoir title, and a Corrida des petits for children aged 3 to 13. The race attracts a large local participation, with approximately 1,500 runners, including about 250 children. Funds raised benefit the League Against Cancer and cancer research, the primary objective for the Team de l'Espoir organizers. This group also organizes other running and raid events, such as the Foulées d'Aquarev in April. The Loudéac race has previously featured professional cyclist Nolan Mahoudo as a co-sponsor and starter for the women's 5 km.
Foulées du pont du bonhomme - Kervignac
MON NOV 23
Foulées Muzillacaises
TUE DEC 1
The Foulées Muzillacaises is a 10 km road race in Muzillac, a town in the Morbihan department of Brittany, France. The event is listed on Brittany’s running calendar and is built around a straightforward local road-racing format, with the main 10 km joined by races for children and juniors. The race base is the Parc-Cosec complex in Muzillac. Younger runners have their own distances, including 2.3 km, 1.2 km, and 800 m, so the day is not only for adults chasing a 10 km result. The event changed from its old December slot to May for its 30th edition, and the program also added a trail race at the Pen Mur site, giving the series a road-and-trail shape rather than a single-town 10 km only.
Corrida verte de Rhuys - Sarzeau
WED DEC 9
Corrida Verte de Rhuys is a mid-December trail race held in Sarzeau, located on the Rhuys peninsula in Morbihan, Brittany. The primary event is 10.6 km, though older references mention a 12 km distance. The race begins in front of the Espace Culturel de l’Hermine and is organized by Athlé Rhuys. The participants are predominantly local, with over 300 runners competing in the last edition. The course commences by crossing Sarzeau’s town center before transitioning from streets to green paths encircling the peninsula. It winds through the parks of Truscat, Kerlevenan, and the Manoir de Kerbot, offering a more secluded, estate-like, and rural character compared to a typical road race. Formerly known as Corrida de Rhuys, the event adopted its current trail-focused name starting with its 33rd edition.
Foulées questembertoises
SUN DEC 13
The Foulées Questembertoises is a 10 km road race held in Questembert, a town in Morbihan, Brittany. It takes place entirely within the town center, making it a compact urban race instead of a countryside route. The event also features children’s races, providing local young runners with their own start before the main 10 km event. The field is composed of local and club runners, with CARQ, the Club Athlétic de la Région de Questembert, taking a prominent role. In one recorded race, 276 runners began the 10 km in harsh weather conditions. Sylvain Cheval won in 32:08 during his initial appearance for CARQ, following a sprint finish involving four athletes. François Oillic of L’ESC Océan 44 Saint-Nazaire and Guillaume Chollet of Ploërmel were recorded with the same time as the winner, while Mathieu Rotiel secured fourth place. CARQ also achieved victories in younger age groups, with Jules Vaugrenard winning in Benjamins and Envel Chamallard in Minimes. The race has reached its maximum registration capacity, a first for the event, indicating demand that exceeds the capacity of its town-center course.
Tlj - trail entre landes & justice - Saint-Jean-Brévelay
TUE DEC 15
Foulées hivernal la laïta - Guidel
TUE DEC 15
Foulées Hivernales de la Laïta is a 10 km road race held in Guidel, located in France’s Morbihan department. The race begins at 10 AM and is organized by Les Joggers de la Laïta, the local running club that established the series. The race offers a straightforward format: a single road distance, a morning start time, and organization by a local club instead of a large festival setup. Interested runners can find details by contacting Erwan Le Nadant, emailing [email protected], or visiting the Les Joggers de la Laïta Facebook page.
Corrida de Noël - Cléguérec
FRI DEC 18
The Corrida de Noël - Cléguérec is a December road running event held in Cléguérec, a town in Morbihan, Brittany. The primary adult race is approximately 8 km, with 5 km and 10 km options also available for adults, suggesting a multi-distance running event rather than a single-distance race. It is organized by the Cléguérec town hall, and the 8 km race begins in the early evening. The race takes place in central Cléguérec, featuring a short road course suitable for local participants and visitors seeking a run during the Christmas season. The schedule includes children's races and a laser biathlon tournament preceding the running events. A notable local aspect is the participation of residents from the Foyer de vie in the 5 km race, each accompanied by a staff member. The event also provides live GPS tracking and a fan zone via an app, allowing spectators to monitor runners in real time.
Trail de Trévarez - Châteauneuf-du-Faou
MON FEB 8
Trail de Trévarez begins in Châteauneuf-du-Faou, a village perched on a hill in Finistère, with views of an Aulne river bend. Held on the second weekend of February and put on by Mil'Pat de l'Aulne, it offers several trail race distances: recent formats include around 30 km, 16 km, and 6 km, alongside hiking options. It is part of the Challenge Armor Argoat, attracting participants in the regional trail circuit and local runners seeking a winter race nearby. The longer course presents the main challenge, featuring approximately 800 metres of elevation gain and a section through the Château de Trévarez park. The middle route includes about 400 metres of ascent and offers views of the château, while the short route follows the commune's paths and trails with a more modest 80 metres of climbing. Races start at the Ar Sterenn complex, and this event marks its eighteenth edition with an updated format. The finish includes a distinctly Breton tradition: volunteers serve soup and cereal bars, and each participant receives crepes and sparkling apple juice.

About 10K races in Lorient

Lorient Training Notes

Lorient hosts 47 10K races in 2026 within 80 km of the city centre — upcoming dates, recurring series, and other races nearby, all in one place.

Locals run the Scorff River and Parc du Bois du Château when they want miles without leaving town. The route is 8 km with 37 m of elevation, so it works for easy Z2 or short intervals. Parc du Bois du Château is not the most scenic in the world, but it is the best option right in Lorient. The park loop is 3 km one-way with 55 m of elevation. Lorient Athlétisme Club brings over 400 members, and Lorient Running Club meets Wednesdays at 7:00 PM at the WestPort Inn. Run à l'Orient, La nordique de Lorient, and Trail des deux rivières in Lanester keep the calendar honest.

Locals ride the bay, the greenways, and the roads out of town when they want base miles. The Tour of the Bay by bike runs 29 km one way from Larmor-Plage to Gâvres, and the Lorient-Gâvres route makes you take the bateau-bus twice. The Right-Bank Route The Ports gives you 14 km from Larmor-Plage Tourist Office to quai des Indes in Lorient centre. The climbs sit on the inland routes, where Lorient - Noyal-Pontivy carries 979 m of ascent over 82.9 km and Lorient - Quistinic packs 492 m into 37.4 km. Tour de la rade by lazare and Triathlon de Lorient are the anchor hits. Locals talk routes first, because the named club scene here is LAC, Lorient Running Club, FC Lorient, and CEP Lorient.

July and August are the best months, and most riders get on their bikes here then. Summer gives you cool-to-warm coastal days, rare extreme heat, and plenty of nose-to-the-wind miles on greenways with no cars. The Kaolin greenway gently descends towards the sea on the outward trip, and the return comes back uphill. Winter keeps training possible because Lorient has an oceanic climate and frost is rare. Locals keep running the Scorff and Parc du Bois du Château, while cyclists shift more rides to steady greenway Z2, short loops, and quiet days between showers.
