Middlesbrough Half Marathon

The Middlesbrough Half Marathon begins in Centre Square, by the Town Hall and MIMA gallery, guiding runners on a fast, flat, chip-timed road course through the town centre. The half marathon starts in the morning, with a junior race scheduled for later the same day, catering to adults aiming for a personal best and younger runners participating in their own event. Science in Sport presents the race, which supports the Great North Air Ambulance Service. The route features full road closures and proceeds through Albert Park, then passes Riverside Stadium, home to Middlesbrough FC, before circling the docks and concluding back in Centre Square. The course offers a concise tour of Middlesbrough landmarks with minimal elevation gain, ideal for personal best attempts and first half marathons. The event, with only a few editions held so far, is establishing itself on the North East road-running calendar, and past results are available.
