About this race

Ridgeway View Campsite serves as the new start, but the race retains the "classic SOX 10km you know and love" character from the Ales & Trails series. This third edition ventures into terrain typically off-limits around South Oxfordshire. Trails, woodlands, fields, and local roads define its nature as a genuine mixed-surface run, not a road race in disguise. A challenging multi-terrain course awaits, predominantly off-road and uneven in sections. It's sufficiently hilly to live up to its description as a "tough 10k in the South Chilterns." Participants aged 16 and above are welcome, with a canicross option available. The finish at the campsite includes a "thirst-quenching reward": a medal, a pint cup, and a free drink. A practical detail is that it's a cupless event, so bring your own bottle or cup for the refill stations.
