About this race

The Robin Hood 100 Mile Trail Run begins and ends at South Wheatley Village Hall in Nottinghamshire. Participants have 30 hours to complete the 100-mile distance. HOBO Pace organizes the event. The course is designed for endurance, featuring relatively flat terrain with no significant climbs, runnable ground, and only minor undulations, rather than for mountain specialists. The route departs South Wheatley via fields and tracks, connecting to the Chesterfield Canal, passing through Retford, and heading towards Manton Pit Wood. It includes a 30-mile loop within Clumber Park. Runners will also traverse sections of the Worksop half marathon course, go through Sherwood Forest twice, and pass the Major Oak, a prominent Robin Hood landmark. Aid stations are positioned every 3 to 10 miles, staffed by volunteers who monitor runner well-being and distribute provisions. While the front of the race can be fast, with course records near 15 hours for men and under 18 hours for women, the latter part of the field is also significant, with finishers sometimes arriving just minutes before the 30-hour deadline.
