The Last Tri Lydney 2026

The First & Last Tri comprises two triathlons in Lydney, Forest of Dean: one in April and the other in October. Both events are based at Freedom Leisure Centre on Church Road. Competitors use an indoor heated pool for the swim before cycling on local routes, with a flat run to finish. The event provides Sprint and Olympic distances. The Sprint covers a 400m pool swim, a 23k bike leg, and a 5k run. The Olympic distance involves a 750m pool swim, a 40k bike leg, and a 10k run. Its indoor swim, secure transition area, and short, manageable course make it suitable for novices. Seasoned athletes often use it to begin or conclude their triathlon year. Registration opens at 7am, with racing commencing at 8am. Individual wave start times are communicated prior to the event, and all participants receive a medal.
