About this race
The X-Ultra TihioRace 170Km begins in Teichio, a village in Phocis, Greece, covering 170 km with 9,100 meters of elevation gain. It commences at 07:00 in early June and spans three calendar days, concluding on Saturday evening. This event is among the longest in the TihioRace series, which also features shorter trail races, mountain bike competitions, and a 250 km ultra.
The race operates in a semi-autonomous style, meaning runners should not anticipate continuous support. With only five aid stations on the route, participants must manage their gear, food, and water, adding to the overall challenge. The event targets experienced ultra runners, requiring recent completion of either two mountain races exceeding 100 km or two road ultras over 130 km. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers.
