The Rácalmás Szigetfutás begins and ends at the Jankovich Kúria in Rácalmás, an 18th-century Baroque manor set in parkland. This trail-running event offers four distances: 3 km, 5 km, 11 km, and 22 km, suitable for children, beginners, regular runners, and those seeking longer distances. Pre-registration is mandatory and includes a bib, chip timing, race refreshments, lunch, a unique finisher medal, and a finisher gift package. The course crosses Rácalmás Nagy-sziget, the Ártéri Tanösvény floodplain nature trail, Danube riverside paths, and a bike path along the river. Nagy-sziget is a protected nature area within Duna-Ipoly National Park, providing a tranquil island-and-river environment distinct from city races. The event also features podium prizes and a raffle, presenting a family-friendly local race day with official timing and services, not merely an informal run.
