Races that repeat — weekly, monthly or yearly

Karpaty Run
SAT OCT 3
The 9th Karpaty Run is a trail challenge on forest and haulage roads in the Little Carpathians. It's a true trail run for all.
KarpatyRun - Bratislava Trail Run
SAT OCT 3
The Bratislava Trail Run begins and ends at Malokarpatské Námestie in Bratislava-Lamač, situated at the edge of the Small Carpathians. Previously known as KarpatyRun, this event offers trail running for participants of all levels, featuring distances from 5 km to 50 km. A community focused on forest running has developed around this event since 2018. The available distances cater to beginners with a shorter off-road route, while also providing longer, mountain-style races for those undertaking serious training. The courses are exclusively on trails. The shortest route includes approximately 80 m of elevation gain, and the longest listed route has about 876 m. The 30 km and 50 km races are eligible for the UTMB Index. The 50 km race is also part of the ITRA National League, holding Mountain Level 3 and Finisher Level 4 ratings. Participants must check in at least 45 minutes prior to their start time, collect their race number, and proceed to the start line located 700 m away, shortly before the race commences. Organizers describe it as Bratislava's largest trail running festival, attracting a diverse field of local Slovak runners alongside club and company teams from neighboring countries.
Vajnorský minimaratón (+MSR v 5KM)
SAT OCT 17
The Vajnorský minimaratón is an October running event in Bratislava-Vajnory, held at Park pod lipami. It features 10 km and 5 km races, along with children’s races, accommodating both adult runners and younger participants on the same day. The 5 km race is significant as it hosts the Slovak Championship in 5KM. Občianske združenie Šport a zdravie organizes this race within Bratislava's Vajnory district, providing a local park atmosphere instead of a typical big-city road race.
Račiansky kros JESEŇ
SUN OCT 25
Račiansky kros JESEŇ is an autumn forest race held in Bratislava-Rača, starting at the amphitheater in Knižková dolina. PERUN o.z. is the organizer, offering two main trail distances: 16 km with 503 meters of elevation gain and 9.5 km with 335 meters of elevation gain. The event also features children’s runs of 100, 200, and 400 meters, catering to participants of all ages. The course utilizes paths within the Little Carpathians, beginning and concluding at the same valley amphitheater, avoiding city streets. The elevation gain classifies both adult races as genuine cross-country challenges, particularly the 16 km route. Runners can compete in various categories, children are grouped by age, and dogs are permitted, contributing to a more community-oriented, outdoor-club atmosphere compared to a typical road race.
Österreichische Staatsmeisterschaften Crosslauf
SUN NOV 22
Austria's national cross country titles are decided on grass-and-dirt loops that move around the country, with recent hosts ranging from Vorarlberg and Carinthia to Lower Austria and Burgenland. The Austrian Cross Country Championships are held annually in late autumn as a running event for the country's elite, juniors, masters, and younger age groups. The program uses cross-country races rather than road races, with common distances around 10 km, 5 km, and 4 km, plus children's and school races. At St. Margarethen in Burgenland, the races use the recreation area by the swimming lake on a relatively flat course already tested in state championships. The women's race is about 5.2 km, while the men choose between a short 3.4 km race and a 9.1 km long race. The long men's race and women's race award national championship titles; the men's short-course winner plus junior and masters winners are Austrian champions. Medals go to gold, silver, and bronze. U20 and U23 athletes can also medal in the overall competition, and strong runners arrive from road running, track, triathlon, and mountain running. The move from spring to late autumn makes it the closing highlight of the Austrian athletics season and can also decide places for the European Cross Country Championships.
Račiansky kros ZIMA
SUN FEB 7
Račiansky kros ZIMA is a winter forest run held in Bratislava-Rača, beginning and ending in Knižková dolina near the Rača amphitheatre. PERUN o.z. organizes the event, offering two main trail distances: 16 km with approximately 503 m of elevation gain and 9.5 km with approximately 335 m of elevation gain. Younger participants have their own short races covering 100 m, 200 m, and 400 m, ensuring the day includes activities for all ages.
Marathon de Bratislava
SAT APR 10
The Marathon de Bratislava offers a full marathon, half marathon, 10 km race, 4.2 km walk, and children’s races in Slovakia’s capital during April. The primary road distances are standard city races: 42.195 km for the marathon and 21.098 km for the half marathon. Both the marathon and half marathon are available as solo runs or relays, accommodating both individuals aiming for the full distance and teams wishing to share the effort. The course crosses Bratislava using single-loop paths, with the Danube River serving as a prominent landmark. The marathon, half marathon, 10 km, walk, and junior events are all part of the capital-city race structure, featuring urban streets and significant monuments along the way. This event is among Slovakia’s larger running competitions, and its variety of distances allows marathoners, half-marathoners, 10 km runners, walkers, relay teams, and children to participate in the same race weekend.

About 10K races in Győr

Győr Training Notes

Győr hosts 16 10K races in 2026 within 80 km of the city centre — upcoming dates, recurring series, and other races nearby, all in one place.

Locals run Győr like a steady club town, with easy road loops and quick park miles. The main loop covers 91 km with only 6 m of gain. You can run 26 km on Gyor, Revfalu has 16 km, while Marcalváros shows up through PURITÁN KUPA /Marcalvárosi Bio-kör/. Strucc Futóklub keeps the local race feel strong. Büchl Éjszakai Félmaraton and SRI CHINMOY GYŐRI FUTÓFESZTIVÁL sit on the road calendar. Győrújbaráti Terepfutás is the one for anyone ready to come and conquer the Sokoró hills together.

Riders use Győr for flat base miles first, then look south or west when the legs need work. The 92 km road cycling route gives a clean spin with 43 m of gain, so it works for recovery, intervals, or a short lunch ride. Győri ETO Sport Club gives the city another serious club name. I. KisTri Triatlon Fesztivál is the closest anchor event for riders who like a race-day edge. The Sokoró hills sit south of town and bring the real climbing. The Bakony sits west and turns hard when the weather changes.

July is the best month if you want heat, long daylight, and proper summer volume. Summer in Győr still asks for respect, because July is the wettest month with 74 mm of precipitation. Locals keep the work simple then, with early runs, Z2 rides, and sharper sessions before the day gets heavy. January is the coldest month, so winter changes the feel fast. Runners who want rough stuff look toward Bakonyi Mikulás. The Bakony gives both runners and riders difficult winter terrain, river crossings, and steep and slippery hillsides.
