About this race
The Appennino MTB Race is a mountain bike granfondo held in Collagna, Reggio Emilia, with its route crossing the Ventasso area of the Italian Apennines. This off-road event is designed as a short, challenging course: 35 km with 1,200 meters of elevation gain, ensuring it is more than a simple fast loop.
The course combines climbs with technical and playful sections, suiting an area known for its off-road sports tradition. Ivan Lolli won the men's race in 1:49:32, breaking away from a Team 13 Key-CMX group that secured the next three positions. Elena Sassi took first place in the women's race at 2:25:58. The inaugural edition attracted considerable interest, featuring participants from teams including Emilia Corse, Team 13 Key-CMX, Gagabike Team, New Bike, and Mtb Spoleto.
