Argonauti TRI 2026

Argonauti TRI starts from Porto degli Argonauti on Pisticci’s Ionian coast in Basilicata. The April triathlon is part of the National Triathlon No Draft Circuit. Pisticci also hosts a September classic-distance aquathlon finale in the Italian circuit. The triathlon provides Olympic and Sprint options in a no-draft format, meaning athletes cannot draft on the bike leg. The start list includes age-group athletes, relay teams, juniors, and paratriathletes, with PTWC athletes noted as an exception. The Olympic race consists of a 1,500 m swim, 40 km bike, and 10 km run. The swim takes place in the Ionian Sea, with the bike and run courses on roads along the Pisticci coast. The April event anticipates over 300 participants, along with teams and companions from Italy and internationally. Organizers explain the no-draft rule as a method to recognize individual preparation and ensure a direct competition between athletes. The series maintains a local Lucanian identity, with its presentation held at the Museo Essenza di Amaro Lucano in Pisticci Scalo, connecting the race to the region.
