About this race
Bettona Etruscan Extreme is a challenging mountain bike race held in Bettona, Perugia province, Umbria, during September. Organized by ASD BettonaMtb, it offers participants multiple route options. These range from a 10 km route for beginners and juniors to the Extreme course, typically around 63 km with over 2,000 m of elevation gain.
The terrain is predominantly off-road, featuring compact gravel, single-track paths, and steep ascents in the hills surrounding Bettona. The Soft route, approximately 28 km with 1,000 m of climbing, still demands significant effort. The Hard and Extreme routes are designed for experienced riders requiring technical proficiency. The event provides aid stations, chip timing, showers, changing facilities, bike washing services, and a pasta party. It has also served as the final event of the Cannondale MTB Tour Toscana.
