About this race
La Velenosa is a mountain running event held near Bolzano Bellunese, north of Belluno in the Italian Dolomites. The main race, La Velenosa Run, is the event's original component, offering two route choices available as timed races and non-competitive excursions.
The primary adult course covers 14 km with 1,000 metres of elevation gain, presenting a short, steep mountain challenge rather than a road race. Founded by a group of friends in 2014, the event now attracts runners and mountain enthusiasts from throughout Italy. The organizers also use the race to highlight the Belluno region, guiding participants along local trails and through areas on the city's northern outskirts.
