About this race
The Marathon de Mugello begins at 9:15 AM in Piazza Dante, Borgo San Lorenzo, leading runners into Tuscany's Mugello valley. This road marathon covers the full 42.2 km distance, with an alternative Mezza Mugello Marathon available for those preferring a shorter event.
The race, with over fifty editions completed, is noted as Italy’s oldest marathon. The course winds through small villages and rolling hillsides featuring olive groves and vineyards. The event honors the memory of Roberto Gherardi, Franco Sargenti, and Mario Boretti.
