Ultra Trail Lago d’Orta

100km
About this race
Ultra Trail Lago d'Orta is a mountain trail race series held in Omegna, within Piemonte's Verbano-Cusio-Ossola province. All four race distances commence from Lungolago Antonio Gramsci along the lakeside: 100 km, 55 km, 31 km, and 18 km. The two longer races begin first, with the 100 km starting at 5:00 AM and the 55 km at 7:30 AM; the shorter races commence on Sunday morning.
The routes are steep relative to their distance. The 100 km race involves 5,470 metres of climbing, the 55 km involves 3,420 metres, the 31 km involves 1,720 metres, and even the 18 km option has 1,100 metres of elevation gain. This positions the series as an alpine-style trail challenge rather than a simple lakeside run, offering options for runners seeking anything from a demanding short course to a full ultra day in the mountains surrounding Lake Orta.
