Ultracycling Dolomitica Race across the Dolomites 2026

FRI, July 10, 2026 · Vittorio Veneto , Italy

About this race

Ultracycling Dolomitica begins and ends in Vittorio Veneto, northern Italy, held annually from the second Friday of July to the second Sunday of July. It is a non-stop road ultracycling race on open roads, without drafting, for solo riders and teams. The primary distance is 713 km, with a 60.5-hour time limit, meaning participants race through day and night, not like a long gran fondo. The field is small, typically 50 to 100 participants, and the race is part of both the Ultracycling Italia CUP and the WUCA Ultracycling World Cup. The route connects Veneto, Trentino-Alto Adige, and Friuli Venezia Giulia, featuring 22 mountain passes and over 19,000 meters of climbing. Notable climbs include Duran, Sella, Fedaia, Manghen, San Boldo, and Giau. Val di Fassa, Lake Carezza, Costalunga Pass, Canazei, Vigo, Soraga, and Moena are also on the course. The race is also known as the Memorial Vito Favero, organized by Keepsporting Italia, and directed by Roberto Picco. Finishers receive the title “Hero of the Dolomites,” aligning with the race's mottos emphasizing perseverance: “I am the engine,” “Hold on,” and “Higher and higher.”
