VIII^ Naturosa Catania Marathon (21km)

Runners begin and end on Viale Kennedy by Lido Verde, on Catania’s Playa, with Mount Etna visible behind the coastline. The Naturosa Catania Marathon is a December road race in Catania, Sicily, offering three distances: a marathon, a half marathon, and a 10.5 km race. ASD Atletica Sicilia organizes it under FIDAL patronage, and the course is certified for official competition. The format uses a single, flat circuit of approximately 10.55 km. This loop is completed once for the 10.5 km race, twice for the half marathon, and four times for the marathon. The course follows the Etna coast, providing sea air on one side and the volcano in view, with urban Catania nearby instead of a remote out-and-back. This consistent loop is practical for first-time marathoners, half-marathon runners, and those aiming for a fast time. The Playa area transforms into a sports village with music, cheering points, entertainment, families, and supporters near the finish.
