The Lauwersmeer Najaarstocht begins and ends in Lauwersoog, located by the Staatsbosbeheer activity centre at the entrance to Lauwersmeer National Park. The TT City Run begins on the TT Circuit and concludes in Assen's center, connecting the city’s motor-racing venue with its festival streets. Participants can select from 5.4 km, 10 km, or 14.6 km distances. The event inaugurates the TT Festival, integrating it with Assen’s broader TT week instead of functioning as an independent road race. The primary courses all lead from the circuit towards the city center. Meanwhile, children compete over shorter distances within Assen: 500 meters for the youngest participants and 1.2 km for older children. The schedule also features TT Circuit Laps, allowing individuals to traverse the circuit at their own speed, accommodating those using mobility aids. Additionally, there is a Business Run for teams and a College Run for local students. All finishers are awarded a TT City Run medal.

Devil's Trail - Schiermonnikoog is a two-day trail running event on Schiermonnikoog, one of the Dutch Wadden Islands. The route crosses Schiermonnikoog, incorporating elements that distinguish it from an inland race: sea, beach, dunes, dikes, salt marshes, and, depending on conditions, wind. The 30 km race is named the Brakzand Trail, and the 15 km race is the Kobbeduinen Trail. Stichting Ox organizes the event, providing on-site runner facilities such as changing areas, showers, first aid, AEDs, and parking.

The DSTV Decemberloop Peize is a December running event held in Peize, a village in Drenthe, northern Netherlands. Races for adults cover 5, 10, and 15 kilometers. A 5-kilometer junior race and free 800- and 1600-meter runs for primary-school children also take place. The route leads runners into De Onlanden, the wetland nature reserve situated between Peize and Groningen. The 10-kilometer race concludes the Univé Loopcircuit De Kop van Drenthe, with the day’s results determining circuit standings before the prize ceremony at the VV Peize sport house. The children’s program starts with a warm-up, and all Kinesis Kidsrun finishers get a medal.

Dark Sky Trail Lauwersmeer guides runners, canicross teams, and walkers through Nationaal Park Lauwersmeer after sunset, within one of Europe's darkest regions. Steenbok Sport manages the event, with a straightforward objective: traverse the park at night using minimal artificial light. The short trail and canicross course measures approximately 10 km, walkers navigate a similar distance, and extended trail options include 12.5 km, 25 km, and a 50 km ultramarathon. The route incorporates both paved and unpaved sections within the Lauwersmeer Dark Sky Park, with the specific path subject to modification based on park regulations and terrain. Participants will record slower times compared to daytime races because of the need for careful navigation in darkness. Headlamps are permitted but are intended for emergency use only, as requested by the organizer. Support services include water stations, first aid, timing, a finisher's beverage, and a post-race recovery zone. A contribution of EUR2.50 from each registration fee is allocated to Dark Sky Park Lauwersmeer, aiding efforts to combat light pollution.
