1e Vijfhoekparkloop 2026

The Vijfhoekparkloop is a local park race in Zaandam, held in Vijfhoekpark. It is the first of three races in a series organized within the same park. AV Zaanland is the organizer, and the event is affiliated with the Atletiekunie, the Dutch national body for athletics and running clubs. Participants can select from 1.5 km, 5 km, or 10 km distances. The field is limited to 100 participants, and the entry fee is a few euros. The route consists of laps within Vijfhoekpark, with each full lap measuring approximately 1,570 meters. The running surface is primarily shell paths, offering a park-path feel rather than road-race tarmac. Registration is available on race day at the TZZ tennis club, contributing to the event's local, low-key atmosphere instead of a large pre-entry system.
